Backend Error Debugging Checklist

Before asking the Backend Developer for help, check these in order.

Backend Developer-এর সাহায্য চাওয়ার আগে নিচের বিষয়গুলো ক্রমানুসারে check করুন।

1. Why is the error happening?

• Read the exact error message.
• Identify what action caused it.

• Exact error message-টি পড়ুন।
• কোন action করার পরে error হয়েছে সেটা identify করুন।

2. Which API is causing the error?

• Check the Network tab.
• Confirm the API endpoint, HTTP method, and response.

বাংলা:

• Browser-এর Network tab check করুন।
• API endpoint, HTTP method এবং response ঠিক আছে কিনা দেখুন।

3. When does it happen?

Check when the error occurs:

• On page load?
• On create/update/delete?
• After submitting a form?
• Only with a specific record or value?

বাংলা:

Error কখন হচ্ছে সেটা identify করুন:

• Page load করার সময়?
• Create/update/delete করার সময়?
• Form submit করার পরে?
• শুধু কোনো নির্দিষ্ট record বা value-এর ক্ষেত্রে?

4. What type of request is it?

Identify the request type first:

• GET → Query parameters / Path parameters
• POST → Request body
• PATCH / PUT → Request body
• DELETE → Path/query parameters

প্রথমে request-এর type identify করুন:

• GET → Query parameters / Path parameters
• POST → Request body
• PATCH / PUT → Request body
• DELETE → Path/query parameters

5. Check Swagger

• Verify the endpoint.
• Check required parameters, query, body, and headers.
• Compare the frontend request with Swagger.

বাংলা:

• Endpoint সঠিক কিনা verify করুন।
• Required parameters, query, body এবং headers check করুন।
• Frontend থেকে পাঠানো request-এর সাথে Swagger-এর request compare করুন।

6. Check parameter values

Check the following:

• Confirm required values are present.
• Check data types.
• Check whether the value must be an enum.
• Check allowed enum values exactly.
• Check IDs and UUIDs are valid.

বাংলা:

নিচের বিষয়গুলো check করুন:

• Required values দেওয়া হয়েছে কিনা।
• Data type সঠিক কিনা।
• Value টি enum হওয়া required কিনা।
• Allowed enum values exact কিনা।
• IDs এবং UUIDs valid কিনা।

7. Compare with a working request

• If possible, run the same API from Swagger.
• Compare Swagger's successful request with the frontend request.

বাংলা:

• সম্ভব হলে Swagger থেকে একই API request চালিয়ে দেখুন।
• Swagger-এর successful request-এর সাথে frontend request compare করুন।

8. If the frontend request is wrong

• Fix the frontend implementation.

• যদি frontend request ভুল হয়, তাহলে frontend implementation ঠিক করুন।

9. If the frontend request is correct but the backend still returns an error

Do not randomly change frontend code.

Share the following with the Backend Developer:

• API endpoint
• HTTP method
• Request params/query/body
• Response status code
• Exact error response
• Steps to reproduce

বাংলা:

যদি frontend request সঠিক হয় কিন্তু backend তারপরও error return করে:

Randomly frontend code change করবেন না।

Backend Developer-কে নিচের তথ্যগুলো দিন:

• API endpoint
• HTTP method
• Request params/query/body
• Response status code
• Exact error response
• Error reproduce করার steps

10. If you cannot identify the issue

• Ask the Backend Developer or me for help with the exact error details.

বাংলা:

• যদি আপনি issue identify করতে না পারেন, তাহলে exact error details সহ Backend Developer বা আমার সাহায্য নিন।
